The lads talked to Professor Roland Baron from Harvard University. Roland characterised one of the bone signalling pathways that govern bone formation and then developed a new treatment that increases cell signalling to improve bone mass. The therapy called Romosozumab is revolutionising fracture prevention.

Roland is a co-founder and chair of the International Federation of Musculoskeletal Research Societies supporting our community and helping young scientists to develop.
