  1. I loved that Prof. Seeman encouraged us to “trust our brains”, impostor syndrome is a truly concern among us. However, “choose a good mentor” is somewhat an extremely hard task. It takes years to get to know people, it is barely impossible to get to know your future PI in one or two interviews, short talk in a meeting, or even by talking to their mentees, which sometimes have the pressure of their PIs to give a good impression. In most cases, choosing a mentor is more “do what you can, and whish you good luck”
